The release

Rheem announced its Torin commercial air-to-water heat pump on September 9. The manufacturer identifies domestic hot water and space heating as applications and lists 68,000 and 120,000 BTU-per-hour models using R-454B.

Read operating limits with the application

The announcement describes operation down to −25°C. That temperature alone does not establish the delivered capacity, water temperature or efficiency for your design condition. Request the exact model’s performance tables and installation documentation.

What to establish before specifying

Our editorial checklist: design water temperatures, peak demand, backup arrangements, electrical capacity and controls integration.
