What Carrier reported

Carrier reported approximately 60% growth in Commercial HVAC orders and approximately 300% growth in data-center orders in its October 29 third-quarter release. Both figures exclude NORESCO. The company also reported a backlog exceeding $8.5 billion.

The contractor’s question

A growing manufacturer order book is a reason to ask about project-specific lead times. It does not establish delivery dates for a particular chiller, rooftop unit or local distributor. Ask the supplier to separate production allocation, shipment and commissioning support.
